Policy Online has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2014 Australian and New Zealand Internet Awards (ANZIA).
Policy Online is a database and alert service that provides free access to full text research reports, papers, statistics and other resources essential for public policy development and implementation in Australia and New Zealand.
Since being founded as a small project at Swinburne University of Technology in 2002, Policy Online has become an essential resource for people working in education, the government sector, the media, non-government organisations and students.
There are 29 finalists for the ANZIAs, that recognise Australia and New Zealand’s leading contributors to the use and development of the Internet.
Policy Online has been shortlisted as a finalist under the ‘Information’ category.
The ANZIAs recognise organisations, businesses and individuals who excel in delivering accessible, innovative, informative and secure resources to a diverse and wide community, on the Internet in Australia and New Zealand.
Policy Online features an open access database with over 19,000 research listings. Publications are listed from over 2,500 organisations and journals in Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
Since being founded as a small project at Swinburne University of Technology in 2002, Policy Online has become an essential resource for people working in education, the government sector, the media, non-government organisations and students in Australia, and since 2012, also in New Zealand.
“No source categorises and archives policy research like Policy Online. Its regular mailings provide my reading list every weekend. APO keeps me up-to-date on developments and research across the wide range of public policy issues we deal with in the Swinburne Leadership Institute,” says John Fien, Professor and SLI Executive Director.
