Monash University vice-chancellor Ed Byrne has confirmed on ABC Radio that Monash’s Churchill 
campus in Gippsland will join with the University of Ballarat to create a new “super regional university” of Victoria. He said there would be no staff losses and students would benefit from an expanded range of offerings. Details are to be announced shortly.
