The Australian 4 September 2012 In her response to the Gonski Report, Julia Gillard flagged new requirements for trainees to spend more time in front of classes before they graduate. Instead of new teachers floundering or drifting away from teaching, they will be equipped for the classroom though practical experience during training and two years of support once in school.
