Melbournians (and visitors to Melbourne )wishing for inner peace and happiness can take part in an extraordinary ‘Meditate in Melbourne’ event at Federation Square.
International Buddhist teacher Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong will explain how every single one of us can enjoy lasting happiness and fulfilment in our lives. We will then experience this directly as she guides us in a meditation that connects us with our immense potential for inner peace and love. This is the essence of modern Buddhism: ancient methods, made accessible to all, that free us from painful emotions and lead us to the true source of happiness within our own hearts.
Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of the NKT- IKBU, is a modern Buddhist nun dedicated to helping people from all walks of life attain lasting happiness through developing inner, mental peace. Gen-la is loved and respected throughout the world for the sincerity of her practice and the power of her wisdom and compassion.
