Following allegations about Evocca College on the ABC 7.30 program, the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET), the peak body for the private training sector has formally asked Evocca College to provide evidence against the allegations that have been made and issued a show cause letter.

ACPET Board member Ms Jenny Field, an Evocca College employee, has stepped down from the Board while the allegations are investigated.

If there is found to be substance to these allegations, ACPET says it will take further action, which may include removing Evocca College from ACPET membership.

ACPET says its “position is clear: there is no place for illegal or unscrupulous behaviour in the vocational education and training sector… we are committed to ensuring students, parents, and employers can trust the quality of the training our members provide.”
